What exactly is a Lovable Skill?
A Lovable Skill is a small markdown playbook (SKILL.md) with three parts: a name, a 'Use when…' description that tells Lovable when to load it, and instructions Lovable follows once loaded. Skills live at workspace level — every project in your workspace can use them. Lovable loads each Skill on-demand only when the request matches its description, so you can keep many focused Skills without bloating context.
How is a Skill different from a prompt?
A Lovable prompt is a single message you type. A Lovable Skill is a reusable, versioned capability that Lovable loads automatically whenever the matching task appears — across every project in your workspace, forever. Think of Skills as upgraded Lovable prompts: written once, applied consistently.
How do I install the Skills?
Two official routes, both straight from Lovable's docs. (1) Upload ZIP: in Lovable open Settings → Skills → Add → Upload ZIP and drag in the .zip we send you. (2) Import from GitHub: paste the GitHub URL we provide into Settings → Skills → Add → Import from GitHub. Lovable validates the archive and publishes the Skills to your workspace. No CLI, no .workspace folder edits.
Will they work with the current Lovable version?
Yes. Every Skill follows the official SKILL.md spec (name, 'Use when…' description, markdown instructions, optional bundled files). We test against the current Lovable agent and ship updates whenever the platform changes. Pro and Agency tiers get free updates for life.
Do they also work in Claude?
Yes. Lovable Skills use the same SKILL.md shape as Anthropic's Claude Agent Skills. You can download any pack from us, then import the .zip into Claude (or any other tool that supports the convention) — the name, description, instructions and bundled files arrive intact.
Do I need to be technical?
No. Upload ZIP is two clicks: Settings → Skills → Add → Upload ZIP. Each Skill ships with a plain-English summary of what it does and when Lovable will use it.
Can I use these for client work?
The Agency Bundle includes a commercial licence covering unlimited client projects. Starter and Pro are for your own workspace.
How are the files delivered?
